My Day – Monday 7th July 2008

Back at work today after a fairly busy weekend. Life goes back to normal after all the birthdays and celebrations subside! Getting my blog back up and running also made it interesting. My domain (aussiebodybuilder.com) should be working again. I’ve migrated all my images to another domain and updated all posts in this blog to point to the new address. It’s amazing what can be achieved with an export, find/replace in notepad and then an import. I’ve managed to update every blog entry here in a matter of minutes (probably about 30 minutes if you include removing all the entries – the slowest bit in the process). I hope that I have now achieved a stable blog. I think that the new look is good too!

It was very chilly ride to work this morning. The temp was supposed to be down around 3.6C (according to The Bureau of Meteorology). It was cold to start, but I soon warmed to the task at hand. My legs were still burning from Saturday’s workout and I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it up that last hill. I had already decided at the beginning of my journey, that it was okay to walk the bike up the hill today. When I approached the hill, I just dug deep, dropped the gears a couple of notches and pedaled my way up. It wasn’t so bad!

Had a great day at work. Not much in the way of students around at the moment, so it’s relatively quiet.

Training was great! Had a big chest workout which started with 4 sets of flat bench press on the hammer press bench. My chest was primed and ready for 4 big sets of incline dumbbell presses. I squeezed out every rep I could with 40kg dumbbells. Then it was straight on to flat bench flyes. Lastly for chest were cable flyes at higher reps to get that final bit of blood pumped into the muscle. Finished the session off with cable woodchops (for abs).

Accountability score took a bit of a hit today :( I forgot to bring my vitamins to work. There goes the AM half of my vitamins/supplement score. Lucky I have a tub of probiotics at work on the ready, maybe I need to keep a stash of vitamins in my office. There’s 2 marks off today.
