Day 401: Day 30 of 53 – December 8th 2008

Day 401

Day 401

My Day

Thanks to Suzette, Larry, Ron, Adam, Jason, buffedstuff for your kind words on my 400th blog post. I really appreciate being part of such a great bunch of people. I’m looking forward to the next 400 days, as I’m sure there are going to be some big things happening in the ShredderSphere.

Well we’re now settled into the new offices and fitting in nicely. Tying up a few loose ends on the running of the computer lab, but all in all, functioning well.

Nutrition has gone well today, just have to keep it going for more than a couple of days.

M1 – 2 scoops protein
M2 – 2 scoops protein, 2 slices pumpernickel bread w/honey, 1 apple
M3 – chicken & rice
M4 – 2 scoops protein, 1 banana (pre-workout)
M5 – 1 scoop WPI, 2 scoops dextrose, glutamine, creatine (post-workout)
M6 – Fish & Vegetables

Weighed in this morning at a hefty 236lbs! The first few pounds will drop quickly as I’m holding water from some poor eating choices. I will continue to weigh-in daily. I need a push here, so let me know if I slack off and miss a day’s weigh-in in any of my posts. I really need to be held accountable here!

  1. Daily weigh in really motivates, and whenever you get a craving or you’re not giving it all on every workout, you just keep thinking on the scale, well, we’re gonna be watching you! and 400 days are a lot of time! I admire your bloggin discipline! keep it up Mr. Mike

  2. I don’t believe in the scale anymore. Just look at my M4 results. Most people would be horrified to put on that many pounds in 12 weeks, but for me it was a victory. Just be careful how focused you get on the scale weight because it really does not tell the entire story. With H.I.T. you are going to gain weight due to the muscle you are putting on.

  3. Congrats MIKE on your 400 days, and know you´ll have an even better 400 in the future. Just read about your wife´s arm, and hope things will get batter fast for her. Not easy as know she has so much to do now with the holidays! I haven´t weighed in much either, and when I finally did was such a SHOCK. Am with you. If you don´t weigh, then you just put a blinder on. If you do, you freak out, but that´s better than just becoming a pig and not knowing it….

  4. Thanks for your continued support Celina.

  5. Mike, I’ve said the same thing all along, but there’s a point when I know I need to be dropping fat and maintaining muscle. The scale weight SHOULD be dropping. I should be able to get to 190-200 without any issues.

  6. Thanks Lynda. Wife’s arm is still bad. The physio says it is the early stages of tennis elbow. That’s both arms now! I’ve told her to give up work (house cleaning) to rest and get better.

My first weigh-in certainly was scary!

  7. Congrats to the 400 days mike.
Good Luck to the next 400 and all after that also of course, lol.
And you wont be going down to 190, unless you lose some serious muscle, my friend. Im currenly approaching 200(will be there by the end of my mission), and you have a mighty ammount more muscle than I do, i guarantee you that.
    Shred on Buddy!
