Day 408

Day 409

My Day

Thanks again for all your well wishes for my birthday.

Busy sorting out installation of new media equipment today. We have a couple of big installs happening shortly after Christmas. We shutdown for Christmas on 25th December and return on January 8th 2009. The fact that the entire university closes down over Christmas if fantastic. We are assured of getting Christmas break every year! This is on top of our normal four weeks annual leave, meaning that we have a total of 6 weeks leave every year.

I’ve been rereading the RTP System modules and designing the nutrition plans. I’ve also been lucky enough to have a look at the training plan (pre-prerelease!). All very comprehensive and looking like a well structured regime. I’m looking forward to the actual start of a 12 week transformation competition (hopefully this will start in January). I’ve decided to take part and put the system through it’s paces.

Day 408

My Day

Today is my 44th birthday! My family came over after dinner to wish me a happy birthday. Thanks to all the shredders who wished me a happy birthday!

I’ve been reading more of the RTP System. I’m looking forward to implementing this early in the new year. I’m really looking forward to putting this entire system through it’s paces! Adam has a proven track record. While it is easy to listen to people who don’t look the part, I like to take advice from individuals who have actually reached a level of success that is noticeable. Those who have transformed already. Adam has done this and now has a credibility about him.

Day 406

Day 406

My Day

Busy day today! Took Jo (my wife) for another doctor appt. She now has to have an xray of her arm to see if there’s anything that might indicate the source of the problem. Then it was shopping (fruit/vege) and getting a few last bits for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow.

I managed to talk myself into going bad with nutrition today. I was going to do ESE until tonight, but I broke it early with fresh crusty bread and some cheese. I always manage to talk myself into thinking that it’s okay! The night meal went okay with home made pizza and fruit salad. Tomorrow will also be a slightly off-day, but this is planned. I’m putting on a work party for my staff and will be having a beer or two. Nothing too over the top though. I still enjoy this time of year and want be able to enjoy a beer or two with mates over Christmas. I’m convinced this can be done while not really doing too much damage. I should at least be able to maintain.

I’ve been reading RTP Transformation System and have decided to jump on the train and take the full system for a twelve week spin after the new year. I will be waiting to see what format the 12 weeks will take (ie competition, starting dates etc). In fact, I’m going to use the last two weeks of this year planning the 12 weeks. All I need is the RTP Training plan! As I have been quite involved in the Shredder Community, I believe I owe it Adam to give this program the BEST shot I can! I believe the RTP Transofrmation System will be very successful and what better way to prove it than to do it!

I wanted to make a special mention about the flow on effect of these blogs that we so religiously write each day. I have been looking at the stats of my blog and noticed a huge jump in unique visitors. This HUGE jump was purely because Adam mentioned my 400 day post! The more traffic directed to our sites the more accountable we have to be (or try to be :O). This is why I am so excited about the release of the RTP Transformation System. The current shredders are poised to be the first “cabs off the rank” with this. How awesone is that?!!?

My Day

Full day today. Rushed home from work to put in a shift in as bar manager at our Regional Entertainment Centre. Becasue of this I’ve had to forgo my scheduled leg workout. I’ll hopefully make this up by doing some Quad Blaster work at home tomorrow. I do have a fairly busy day so I’ll see how that goes. My wife has an early morning appt at the doctors tomorrow for her arm/wrist problems. She still is not right with it and has been told by the physio to ask for an ultrasound to see if there is anything there.

Last meal was at 4:45pm. Will be doing ESE until tomorrow night.

Day 404

Day 404

My Day

Had a great break from training today. I’m back training 4 days per week and doing Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri. After 3 days of hard work in the gym, I’m ready for a day of rest. My nutrition has been exemplary so I’m really happy with that! The weekend will be a test as I’m hosting the guys from work for a barbeque. The plan is that I’ll be cooking up some chicken thighs (these taste great on the bbq).

M2 – 2 scoops protein, 2 slices sprouted grain bread + vegemite.

Day 402

Day 402

My Day

Our Vista rollout has started and going well so far. Part of the process requires that staff leave their computers turned on and the upgrade takes place automatically. We had one laptop user decided they would go home part way through the process, so they shut down their computer and took it home. I guess they’ll bring it back to finish the installation. Goodness only knows what state it was in and whether it worked when they got home. They didn’t come in today (as is frequently the case with academics) so we don’t know how far through the process it had progressed.

Nutrition is going well (that’s two days now)!

M1 – 2 scoops protein
M2 – 2 scoops protein, 2 slices pumpernickel bread w/honey, 1 apple
M3 – chicken & rice
M4 – 2 scoops protein, 1 banana (pre-workout)
M5 – 1 scoop WPI, 2 scoops dextrose, glutamine, creatine (post-workout)
M6 – Fish & Vegetables

Weight
As expected dropped very quickly. 4lbs down!

08 Dec – 236lbs
09 Dec – 232lbs (-4lbs)

Day 401

Day 401

My Day

Thanks to Suzette, Larry, Ron, Adam, Jason, buffedstuff for your kind words on my 400th blog post. I really appreciate being part of such a great bunch of people. I’m looking forward to the next 400 days, as I’m sure there are going to be some big things happening in the ShredderSphere.

Well we’re now settled into the new offices and fitting in nicely. Tying up a few loose ends on the running of the computer lab, but all in all, functioning well.

Nutrition has gone well today, just have to keep it going for more than a couple of days.

M1 – 2 scoops protein
M2 – 2 scoops protein, 2 slices pumpernickel bread w/honey, 1 apple
M3 – chicken & rice
M4 – 2 scoops protein, 1 banana (pre-workout)
M5 – 1 scoop WPI, 2 scoops dextrose, glutamine, creatine (post-workout)
M6 – Fish & Vegetables

Weighed in this morning at a hefty 236lbs! The first few pounds will drop quickly as I’m holding water from some poor eating choices. I will continue to weigh-in daily. I need a push here, so let me know if I slack off and miss a day’s weigh-in in any of my posts. I really need to be held accountable here!

Day 400

Day 400

My Day

Thanks to Suzette, Celina, Ron and Jason for your well wishes for my wife. Hopefully her arm will improve soon. It is a real problem at the moment. She can’t even drive, so that is making it difficult for her.

Wow! 400 days! It has certainly flown by very quickly. As the day numbers get higher, the significance of reaching these “milestones” lessens. It’s just another day of blogging, now a part of my daily routine.

Busy day today, tidying up the garden a bit. I’ve got a barbeque lunch for my work mates next weekend. It’s kind of a Christmas thanks for the efforts they put in year-round. We have a lot of fun at work and we have a great name as a productive team of likeable people. I am very lucky to have such a group of individuals to manage, it makes my job very easy.

Now for the confession 😦 My nutrition has been particularly poor of late and the scale is telling the tale. Time for quick action to be taken. I have avoided the scales for such a long time, but now I fear the time has come to drag them out and start becoming accountable by daily weigh-ins. From tomorrow I will state clearly what my morning weigh-in weight is. It’s not going to be pretty, I can guarantee that, but it may be a way for me to stop hiding behind not knowing what my weight is. No more hiding, it’s time to come out in the open. Hopefully the accountability of daily weigh-ins will help with my nutrition choices leading up to the Christmas period.
